JELENARCHíVUM

Jelenarchívum is a contemporary private photo collection with personal stories, starting in 1990 to the present day. The archive is a social project involving research. It’s an expanded continuation of the widely known and popular Fortepan photo history platform.

The multi-year project represents a community collection campaign covering the entire Hungarian-speaking area, continuously developing and expanding its tools and methods. The importance of the archive is that it also allows space for the mapping of contemporary photographs and stories, since in Hungary, after the advent of digital photography, no major scientific research on private photos has yet been carried out.
